This is a very simple 12V to 24V DC converter circuit, delivers up to 24V from a 12V supply. 12V to 24V DC Converter Circuit Notes:

• D2 can be any fast recovery diode rated at higher than 100V at 5A. It’s really vital that the diode be fast recovery and not a common rectifier.
